If You're a Bird, I'm a Bird: How to Evoke Emotion and Trust within your Couple

Today's couples want more than previous generations expected from their photographs. While in the past, many were content with simple, generic poses and clean technical images, the current client base looks for more.
Having been inundated with media portrayal of romance and glamour, and especially after poring over bridal magazines overflowing with sexy, emotional imagery, today's couples want their images to reflect their love, their personalities, and their emotions. Many photographers struggle with creating the bonds necessary to make that emotional connection. It's no longer enough to hide behind the technical know-how; you must also be able to connect with your clients, earn their trust, and know them well enough to see themselves and their relationship as they do.
This program presented by Suzy Roberts of Suzy Min Photography will walk photographers through the process of working with today's couples. Suzy will cover the basics of modern posing and technique, and she will guide you through post-processing as she gives tips on using Photoshop to give your images the final polish your couples have come to expect.

Bio:
The first thing anyone who meets Suzy Roberts of Suzy Min Photography notices is her spark. She is filled with a passion for life that carries over into her art. She approaches every project with the same zeal that flavors her everyday life, and she has an uncanny knack for bringing out that same enthusiasm in all her subjects. Her journey in the photographic world began years ago in a small, cramped darkroom as she worked with black & white film. As the digital revolution shook up the industry, Suzy adapted and learned, ahead of the curve every step of the way. Her fluent abilities with Photoshop and her confident knowledge in digital equipment have taken her craft to a whole new level, one that she hopes to share with other photographers on a similar path. Whether she is teaching, demonstrating, or working, her joy and the love she has for her art is contagious. Though she admittedly misses the comforting smell of fixer, Suzy has embraced the digital world and strives to help others do the same.
