James W. Byron is a Photographic Artist willing to go the extra mile to capture images that fill his heart with warmth. Through his images one can get a feel of the moment. He works with his wife Karla, in Patterson, Louisiana on the beautiful Bayou Teche. “The Little Studio on the Bayou” also known as Portrait Gallery Photography, Inc. has been part of their lives for the past 23 years.

Byron has many awards in his pocket, including several prestigious Kodak Gallery Awards, Fuji Masterpiece Awards, Distinguished Print Awards, and has been recognized as Photographer of the Year for Professional Photographers of Louisiana for the second time 2007-2008.

He was recently presented with the ASP State Elite Award for earning the highest scoring image during the PPLA 2007 Convention.

He is and Approved Photographic Instructor with Professional Photographers of America and also gives of his time to share his knowledge other professional as well as student photographers.
